Vaginal Infection - Symptom, Treatment And Causes

What is Vaginal Infection?

A canal yeast infection could be a mycosis that causes irritation, discharge and intense itch of the epithelial duct and therefore the female genital organ — the tissues at the canal gap. Also calledvaginal moniliasis, canal yeast infection affects up to three out of four ladies at some purpose in their lifetimes

Causes :

The flora Candida albicans is accountable for most canal yeast infections. Your epithelial duct naturally contains a balanced mixture of yeast, including candida, and bacteria.

Certain bacterium (lactobacillus) act to forestall associate overgrowth of yeast. But that balance can be disrupted. An overgrowth of fungus or penetration of the flora into deeper canal cell layers causes the signs and symptoms of a yeast infection.

Overgrowth of yeast can result from:

Ø  Antibiotic use, which causes an imbalance in natural vaginal flora

Ø  Pregnancy

Ø  Uncontrolled diabetes

Ø  An impaired immune system

Candida albicans is that the most typical kind of flora to cause yeast infections.
Yeast infections caused by alternative kinds of fungus flora will be tougher to treat, and generally need more-aggressive therapies.

Symptoms :

Yeast infection symptoms will vary from gentle to moderate, and include:

Ø  Itching and irritation in the vagina and vulva

Ø  A burning sensation, especially during intercourse or while urinating

Ø  Redness and swelling of the vulva

Ø  Vaginal pain and soreness

Ø  Vaginal rash

Ø  Watery vaginal discharge

Complications :

You might have a complicated yeast infection if:

Ø  You have four or more yeast infections in a year

Ø  Your infection is caused by a less typical type of fungus

Ø  You're pregnant

Ø  You have uncontrolled diabetes
